Her rejecting formula is absolutely normal. It’s time for big people food and there’s nothing wrong with that at all. Before you know it the tantrum phase will be over but for now just try to cope as best you can. It’ll get better.

I am just NOW figuring out I need time just for myself! I get up and walk with a group of ladies who take the morning after their kids are in school and just walk around the park. Sometimes we talk…most times we just listen to the birds sing or remark on the roses blooming at the Medallion Home (oldest house in Kermit). One day we stopped and looked at a group of vultures that were roosting in the trees by the Medallion Home. What had brought them there–a lot of morbid, off-color suggestions (e.g., “Kermit is dead!”) but definitely something you don’t see every day. I also take time to post to my “Walk to Emmaus42″ website, where I post daily devotionals that help not just myself to stay focused during this time of uncertainty/unemployment but help others as well. You, Nicky, have learned the value of “me-time” a lot earlier than I did. Maybe I can catch up…..

that’s not actually her. my husband needs to send me his pictures and video from his phone – I just grabbed that from their website because I was having a hard time explaining the little noodle-boat thing they have.

She looks like she’s having a BLAST in the water! Fantastic! You are going to get countless hours of fun memories out of those classes! Not to mention the swimming advantages for her as she grows!

You need to take care of yourself too you know! Feeling good about yourself will help you be joyful and your baby will feel that through you!
And I don’t think you need to worry about the “you’re beautiful the way you are” conversation over hair colours… so many people regularly switch colours just for fun! I’ve never touched mine, but not for lack of curiousity, but because I’ve always been afraid I wouldn’t get my natural colour back afterwards so I didn’t want to risk it! :p
You could always try a colouring that’s with a shampoo thingy and washes off in a short while to test her reaction…

She has grown amazingly fast! I really loved the class – we went today. I will definitely be explaining the Khan thing – it’ll be one of the many things she goes into adulthood citing as reasons her mom is a huge dork! lol

She looks so teeny-tiny in that shot! It’s amazing how fast they grow!!!

Bravo for waterbabies!!! I’m sure you guys will LOVE it, specially if you already enjoy spending time in the water!

You’ll have to explain Khan to her one day if you do end up naming the changing table…

Do, oh DO sign up for some kind of baby swim classes! My cousin did that with my niece and it has been the highlight of their week (they go twice a week since she turned 5 months old I think) for almost 3 years now! And watching my little niece in the water is a thing of joy! )
